Yeah, I was disappointed, but given I had such good luck with getting an interview within a week of applying, I figured something like this would happen. Also, a friend of mine who applied two days after me has his permit in hand already. Received his call back over a month before I did and completed his class on November 10th. Makes you wonder what goes on in the CA DOJ offices...

Just a PSA. The San Bernardino website has the new 2019 renewal letter posted with 2019 class dates and times. The last time I posted this, the letter still had the 2018 class dates.
ETA: Still no mention on how they will be handling the new range re-qualification requirements in 2019.

So they are not planning on following the new state requirements to re-qualify at a range with all of the handguns on your permit during renewal?

Word I got was the current process covers the requirements of the law.

However, my employers knew about our applications and told us when the employment verification requests came in, which they immediately responded to. They received them both within about 4-5 weeks of our interview date, if I remember correctly. I suspect my application fell under someone's desk and sat there for a month or two collecting dust before anyone found it.

So did everyone scheduled for the December 8th class get cancelled and rescheduled for early next year or was the class just overbooked?

I got rescheduled too, didn't say why. they gave me the option of January 12th or 20th. I emailed back with the 12th but never received any confirmation. Called employee resources and she said she didn't kno and didn't have a list to check. Did you ever get a confirmation back?

Just emailed them again today, I responded to the first one the same day so maybe they just forgot to respond to me lol. Hopefully Im there on the 12th as well. Im getting anxious haha

I just checked my last two range cards, and SSI# on both of them are blank. I suggest leaving it blank unless instructed otherwise
