My best advice to you is to not be nervous and be honest. Honesty goes a long way. Remember these detectives interviewing you are pro 2a and want to issue to good people. I just finished the process and it was such a great experience. I really appreciate all the personnel involved. There all awesome.

Thanks for the advice. Does traffic tickets count as police contacts? I assume so due to it being an investigation. Last ticket I had was like 10 years ago lol

Anytime you talk to an officer its considered police contact. Even if they don't write you a ticket they've radioed it in to dispatch. Just list everything you can remember. If you withhold info they will find it. You don't want that to happen. Be as transparent as you can. I listed every ticket I had ever gotten and that went back over 20 years.

If in doubt, report it.

It's better for you to disclose something they don't know or care about, than to have them discover something.

And it is easy to be intimidated. Nothing to hide, but I've always been nervous and get choked up around cops. Shooting range qualification my heart was pounding through my chest... it's just how I get when I feel that I'm on the spot.

I'm sure I'll be more relaxed when I renew.

By the time you figure everything in like all the fees and notary etc... and the ammo you shoot on range day, $400.
