Has anyone here ever personally, or know someone who had to undergo a psych eval for the county? One of my friends has to, with no previous history of any psych issues or negative LE contact.

I know Riverside county does this. Have not heard about SB doing this.

It is not done for all applicants. There may be something in his history his 'friend' isn't aware of.

Ya... maybe a documented history of depression or other treatment.

Was this requirement stated at the time of interview, or did it come up later during the process (i.e., perhaps as a result of a comment by a neighbor or employer)?

I think I've read on here that you're supposed to report any sort of police contact. I didn't see anything about that on the application and wasn't told anything about it in the interview. What's that all about? Is that pre application police contact? During ccw process police contact/interaction ?

I think we're mostly talking about post-ccw contact, contact basically defined as anytime a LEO asks to see your ID. But I would probably report anything during the process just to be safe.

Range and class Jun 17th.

Employer verification took the longest

Letter got lost, boss never received it.

Formal written policy is to notify within 3 days of arrest or 10 days of receipt of infraction.
Violation will most likely result in revocation.

Advice from class is to notify on any formal contact as stated above.

If you got a ticket during your application process, I would absolutely call and let them know. It may or may not impact the approval, but failing to disclose if they have not yet run your DMV will.
