I will be, because I appreciate the work the Sheriff's Dept. has done for us over the last few years, and their attempts to institute the new online system which I think is an excellent improvement.

Received my livescan clearance email yesterday! I did it on December 22, so it was only 56 days. Now I need to hurry up and buy a new pistol to celebrate!

Today, emailed for status of Renewal application filed 22 Jan.

Return email within ONE minute says:
We are currently processing all the renewals. Yours will be processed in the order received. We are backlogged to December right now. You will be notified when there is an update to your file.
          (Font color is purple. )

So, expect to expire before you are renewed.

Upon doing so I noticed some irregularities between what I "remember" typing in and what actually printed out. Such as some fields being left blank where I filled them out and questions showing up on the printout that didn't show up on screen when I was filling out? I also noticed that I could not go back after the fact and try to make corrections. Should I just wait for interview and let the deputy know of those discrepancies? I don't want them to have any doubt about me not being 100% honest on application. Thanks.
You can log on to the Order Tracker at https://sacramentoca.permitium.com/order_tracker

This has an option of uploading additional information.

You can (separately) create a Word document outlining the changes needed. Go through your application, identify each area you need to augment by section/page/question, etc., and detail what you want to say, then scan and save any supporting documents. Save all files.

Then go to the Order Tracker at https://sacramentoca.permitium.com/order_tracker, and upload the document(s) you saved. That puts them with the other documents in your application.

            The screen will say:
Attach Documentation: please upload the required documentation
If you need to upload documentation, please use the button below to begin the process. The maximum size of individual files is 5 MB.

            Examples Include:
            Copies of Picture ID
            Copies of Incident Reports
            Copies of Court Documents
            Other Requested Documents
Although the intent is to add DLs, DD214s, etc. after the fact, and upon request, it works to "push" your input into the file.

Thank you, I will try that. UPDATE: I printed out the page of the application in question and made corrections in Adobe Acrobat and saved the file with a file name "Corrected Page...." and uploaded it to my application file. Thank you for the tip Dvrjon!

So while picking up my permit this morning(yay!) I was talking with the gentleman there and asked him about the new system. He said that it will be quite a while to get that situated, that the DOJ is in no hurry to help expedite the process and hasn't even come up with a committee to design the new cards. So... there is that.

I don't know if Trump got anything to do with this, but 2 Months and a Week for an DOJ approval. I'll call that a win!

                      Renewal Applications Guidance

Some updated info on Sac online applications for renewal:

this is an example of one of the problems that the vendor will not address.

Keep checking the site. I was on there this morning and everything was full till the end of April. I checked back about 30 minutes later and there was an appointment open in March.

Just a quick update - Day 32 since my online mod application. Still says "Assigned to Processor - Processing Order".

Ironic, in this day of automated order processing....

On the opening page of the renewal process, at the bottom, it clearly states that :"Please be advised that if you are applying for a RENEWAL, you will enter your current CII # in the Permit # field below."

Why do you state that there is no permit number and you have to enter all zero's?? Did you attempt to use the CII # as directed and that did not work? Just trying to be ready for my permit renewal, and want to know the latest.
