Minor correction. If your place of business is in another county (i.e. live in OC but your place of business is in Riverside) you can use your business address for your CCW. At least that how it was explained to me. At one time (pre my CCW interest) I lived in SB county and I worked in LA county (at LAX).

I'm not sure what you are correcting. I said:

Here are the relevant code sections:
      26150.
      (a) When a person applies for a license to carry a pistol, revolver, or other firearm capable of being concealed upon the person, the sheriff of a county may issue a license to that person upon proof of all of the following:
      [...
      (3) The applicant is a resident of the county or a city within the county, or the applicant’s principal place of employment or business is in the county or a city within the county and the applicant spends a substantial period of time in that place of employment or business.

      26220.
      [...]
      (b) If the licensee’s place of employment or business was the basis for issuance of a license pursuant to Section 26150, the license is valid for any period of time not to exceed 90 days from the date of the license. The license shall be valid only in the county in which the license was originally issued. The licensee shall give a copy of this license to the licensing authority of the city, county, or city and county in which the licensee resides. The licensing authority that originally issued the license shall inform the licensee verbally and in writing in at least 16-point type of this obligation to give a copy of the license to the licensing authority of the city, county, or city and county of residence. Any application to renew or extend the validity of, or reissue, the license may be granted only upon the concurrence of the licensing authority that originally issued the license and the licensing authority of the city, county, or city and county in which the licensee resides.
      Best.

Thank you kindly for the education Dvrjon. Was worried I had to apply for one for every county I work a lot in.

Already halfway through my initial 6 month wait time.

I just completed the renewal class/qual today at Ben Clark.

We were told new photo and prints due to new system.

I found this phone number here and called today. The person whose phone number is that number was not very happy, he said somehow this phone number went out to the public and it's wrong. I would suggest everyone to call the phone number that is on their website. Just my 2c.

Have the renewal appointment in person tomorrow, what kind of paperwork (if any) do I need to bring?

I recall hearing just ID and permit, but want to be sure I don't need to print out proof of residency, certificates, etc.

If anyone is looking for this info, my investigator just needed my DL.
I printed everything else just in case, but didn't need it.

                          Hello everyone,
Wanted to know if anyone has done renewals lately at Palm Desert? When I submitted my app for renewal it gave the option for PD but the confirmation email says my appt is at Ben Clark.

Update: Got the confirmation email from staff - PD is still good to go for the east valley.

Hi All, I received my CCWL after just 10 days back in January, my husband applied at the same time and still has not heard approval or denial.

They ran a check and found a DUI from 1984 he forgot about (charges dropped) and his Investigator asked about it, had him submit an email regarding it and that was on 1/21/21. Silence since. He has emailed her without response at least twice.

                            Any ideas?

He "forgot about" a DUI? Gotta admit, that sounds a little hard to believe.

Just received an email stating that due to Covid Ben Clark is closed and all interviews will be done by phone.
