So I just got my permit approved, and i wanted to leave a bit about my timeline and experience.

I applied in 2/15, which was the same day I completed my training and qualification with Street Safe Defense at Wren's Ranch. I had an original interview date of 3/31, but I was able to reschedule for 3/6. I attended the interview and had some court docs regarding a misdemeanor I had almost 8 years ago, and my investigator made a copy, and when asked, stated that it shouldn't be an issue.

After the interview, I had my livescan on the same day, which went pretty smooth. My FBI check came back same day, my DOJ check came back on 3/11, and my firearms check came back 3/13. The DOJ/Firearm check was delayed because I was a fingerprint match for my misdemeanor. Anyways, just got the call/email/text for the final payment, so all in all 28 days from application to permit being ready.

Overall, my experience was much easier and quicker than I expected and hoped for. The CCW staff are top notch and are great to work with. If you are not a knucklehead, they are going to help you out.

My only question is, I saw that some people were able to pick up their permit on a Monday, but the paper that my investigator gave me said Tuesday through Friday.. anyone pick up on a Monday lately? Thanks all for answering my questions and chatting over the last month.

Is there anyway to add information to your "Good Cause" statement after you have submitted the packet?

          Thanks

Upload your new GC statement as a word document.

thats good. I applied Jan 30, uploaded all the information needed, interviewed Feb 25. Live Scan Feb 27, DOJ and FBI came back the same day all good. Final DROS request for my off roster firearm that was pulled March 3. Im still waiting........ not sure what the hold up is, since you got yours I assume this panic is not effecting the sheriffs office.... hopefully this coming week they finally approve it...

We applied right about the same time... there must be something wrong with my application, or paperwork.... my live scan is over 2 weeks ago..

I have my interview tomorrow at Ben Clark 16791 Davis Ave, Riverside. What parking lot do I park in? The one with solar panel coverings? What side of the building is the entrance, N,S,E,W?

                          Thanks!

Yeah park by the solar panels. When you walk up to the double doors the store will be to the right.
