Can you confirm that you paid $30 for an application fee, but no fee for DOJ, FBI or firearm check?

Is that because of the agency billing number on the form?

I did my live scan today as well and uploaded to the portal. It was $25. The price depends on the rolling fee that that location charges. Thank you everyone for the information and sharing on this.

1911.45 PMed me a location in menifee, but I needed something closer. I called several locations in Temecula and Murrieta and was told no. I found this www.mailwerkz.com mom and pop location on Facebook and messaged them. They told me they were doing them on an extremely limited bases and asked if I was exposed to covid. I wasn’t and they told me to ensure that I was wearing a face mask. They took several precautions but was quick and easy overall. If you are in this area, I would recommend them. Call or Facebook message them to confirm.

Does anybody have Jeff as a BI? I E-mailed him a month ago and he said not to go anywhere else but riverside for livescan. But it seems like people are having success with private party livescans. I have been pending livescan for over a month now.. Can somebody please recommend me a place for livescan? thank you.

The one i had talked to after calling around, Menifee has one that is open. Just called yesterday and she says there busy but take walk in's. Call first because of the virus guidelines. She couldn't give a price over the phone so your mileage may vary.

i have everything but 1 item and ive tried contacting them asking about what i need to do ( i have training, id birth certificate, proof of residency)
when i emailed them and they said the BI will call and let him know then.
just wanting to make sure so i still get my call for my appt on the 21st.

Effective immediately, all access to sheriff’s facilities, our lobbies/waiting rooms will be closed to the public, this includes all sheriff’s live scan facilities in an attempt to limit the potential of our employees being exposed to the C19-virus.

All in person background interviews will be done on the telephone. Please be available for our telephone call during the date/time you were scheduled to meet with the CCW Unit. If we are unable to contact you, unfortunately this will delay your process.

After the telephone interview is completed, we will mail a live scan form upon request only. Until we resume those services, private institutions may have those services still available.

Our CCW training and range qualifications are cancelled during this period. If desired, there are 17 vendors for these services listed on our website.

For those initial applicants who already have a digital photo and a digital fingerprint in our new system, will be mailed their permit upon approval. Actual issuance of the permit will require in-person contact and will be very limited during this time period. Please don’t show up to our facility, we will let you know with a personal phone call or via email.

We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you in advance for your understanding.


Recieved this last friday...... So, so far still good on my interview time by phone April 23rd (Hopefully). I have , with the exception of LIVE SCAN, uploaded "all documents" required to the system
