My wife's approved 4 business days after her lives and all cleared. That's the fastest I'd ever heard of.

For me it was six days from Live scan (the last thing I needed) until CCW approval. See my signature block for full timeline. Good luck!

            Live scan

Have any of you been requested to do your live scan before your actual interview? My interview is on the 30th and they requested for me to go and do my live scan this this Monday on the 22nd.

It wasn't requested, but I went a few weeks early anyway because the turn around time on the firearms portion was 3 weeks+ at the time. If your interview goes well, the livescan will be the only hold up.

Does anyone knows how long the firearms portion of the live scan currently takes? I’ve took my live scan on the 4th and my firearms still in progress

There are a number of different factors: number of guns, are they all in YOUR name, are they on a record anywhere, so many things. Mine went 6 weeks because I wrote the wrong serial number on the application. My wifes was done in 4 days, but she only put 1 gun on it. She got very lucky, did her initial application on July 27 and picked up her CCW permit Sept 13. She hit everything just right, we both did our live scan a week before our interview.

                          Good cause review

I am new to the ccw life but i wanted to go over my good cause with you and see if it needs any fixing.

I have music and media hobby where I write, record, and preform various pieces of content. It often requires me to travel alone with expensive recording equipment to various places and meet strange people from unknown backgrounds, sometimes at late hours. I occasionally make money from this hobby that is paid in cash and I am in fear that i may be seen as target and attacked for my money and equipment.

Also in 2019 I took my little brother and his friends to buy some jewelry where some guys flashed guns and tried to rob us. It ended in a fatal car accident where my brother died. I actually wasnt a gun owner until this situation happened but i dont know how to or if I even should mention it at all.

im asking this information before i have started the application just so that i can be fully informed.

                          Thank you ahead of time.

I would say your first one looks pretty good. I don't think the second will be of much help unless you can provide a reason why that situation is likely to happen to you again.
I wish today's liberals could understand: You cannot be generous by giving away other peoples' money and you cannot demonstrate your virtue by your willingness to give up other peoples' rights.

The more time I spend on this forum, the more sense kcbrown makes.
