Picked up permit last week... 784 days total.

Late July 2022: subitted app
Late February 2024: call to submit docs
Early April 2024: interview call
End June 2024: ptt call
Early July 2024: 16hr training / submittal
Mid September 2024: permit pickup

Applied 07/2022. I picked up 9/11/2024, just after most of the places that I go to were reinstated as a sensitive places.

per the message their hours are mon-thurs 8am-4pm so ill try again mon

they did reply to my email today saying i have to wait for another call and cannot schedule via email

so ill just have to set ringtone and max volume and be picking up scam callers with “no caller id” since that is what shows up on missed call

I was able to reach them yesterday in the afternoon when I called them to ask about my status for my renewal. A very nice and kind female deputy answered and checked for me. She said that all I’m waiting for is the scheduler to call me to schedule a date for pickup, but that she doesn’t know when that would be. I’ve also read from some that said that they have gotten calls on either a Friday or on weekends, so this makes me think that the scheduler works off-site or at home.

female deputy picked up and said they would give my file to the scheduling deputy

about 45 mins later got a called from “no caller id” and scheduled appointment for 10/17 pickup date

Seems like better luck calling that number in the early morning than afternoon/evening but have to just be persistent calling multiple times til someone picks up

Congratulations, Persistence pays off, you're almost home. When you get your permit in your hand, please apply for your Arizona and Utah permits if/ when decide you travel out of state. Get as much out of state coverage as you can, if you haven't done so already.

8/11/24 payment made for az ccw $62

8/12/24 Az ccw fingerprints mailed $45

8/15/24 usps delivered fingerprints to az ccw

10/8/24 approved and mailed out

By this time next week, You will have both of your permits. The only thing left, if you decide to do it, is get some CCW insurance and that is easy. Then treat yourself to a nice road trip to Las Vegas to celebrate, and do some shopping, take care and be safe.
