The LASD has added some text to their CCW website. Instructing people who met certain application submittal requirements to download Live Scan form then initiate Live Scan process.

Why LASD telling to go to their web site for ?list of local vendors? for Live Scan. I looked that list for my zip code and there are just couple listed. In reality there are way more. Do we have to go to places which listed on DOJ web site?

Anyone get calls to pick up recently? I see 1 or 2, seems like it's slowed down from a few weeks ago 🤔

I did, missed the first one Tuesday and they called again Friday. I know someone else who received a call for pick up too last week. However my pick up date is a lot sooner than theirs.

Its very confusing why this happens. My buddy got called one week and his P/U date was set for end of April. Week later people here are posted they were called that week and P/U 2 weeks before him. idk LASD system is flawed

Yeah it's all over the place. My girl got the call to pick up 2 weeks ago when like 5 or 6 other peeps got the call to pick up towards the end of April and she got scheduled for the beginning of next month. I'm over here still waiting for my call. She got her training received email 2 weeks before me. Tomorrow will be 2 weeks behind her I'm hoping I get a call 🤣

yeah, it looks like it really is all over the place, I'm just glad I got a call back so soon. I saw some others who missed calls and didn't get a call back until many many weeks again later. I even emailed them after the first initial call I missed, and they confirmed they never even called me yet lol

Yeah I seen that post of yours. Did you get the fall from lasd or was it from the 3rd party people? I seen 1 post where they called someone and gave them a number to call to schedule their appt. Wish I knew the number I'd call it and say yeah I was told to call to schedule appt lmao

My call was directly from the sheriff department i forget the deputy?s name. It looks like they have specific ?lists? of who to call because when they confirmed my time and day they mentioned noting it on their list as well it took a while because they were flipping through sheets of paper from what i heard then some mouse clicking haha

What do we put in for the OCA number, or do we just leave that blank?

My call was directly from the sheriff department i forget the deputy?s name. It looks like they have specific ?lists? of who to call because when they confirmed my time and day they mentioned noting it on their list as well it took a while because they were flipping through sheets of paper from what i heard then some mouse clicking haha

Right on good to know lol. Guess I'll have to keep on waiitng I've yet to get the call. Guess I'll be waiting the regular 8-10 weeks after training received email.

Man, youre 1 month ahead of me in submitting the training certificate. Its good to hear youve gotten a call. Im probably just a couple of weeks away, fingers x.

Maustro- I submitted my application during the same week as you and no calls yet.

I also submitted the same time as you and Maustro (check was also cashed same time Maustro mentioned in his earlier post).

So far still no updates or calls. I did call LASD to clarify an item on my application and they said to just talk to the investigator once I'm assigned one. Other than that, they just said I was in their queue waiting to have someone assigned to me and will hear back when it's my turn.

I missed an "unknown" call so I called the CCW unit today hoping it was them that called. I was told no they did not call.

The lady I spoke with advised they are working on applications that were input in July and mine was input in October(my app was mailed and received at the beginning of July). Just to clarify with her I stated "applications that were input in July, not received in July" and she said that was correct.

So it feels like I have another 3-4 month wait to even get a call to interview. This will put me at about a year to even get an interview.

If you are waiting for a call, base your timeframe on when your check was cashed(my money order was cashed beginning on Oct), not when you sent it in.

Yup. Year and 4 days until I got my call for interview. Soonest interview sir they had available was 10days after they called which has given me a little time to get the live scan process started. So far, CA and FBI are complete and just waiting on firearms to finish. I?ll be a little surprised if firearms is complete prior to my interview this upcoming Thur but technically possible.
