Got a call today after missing one from 2 Saturdays ago. They had availability on Wednesday or Friday of this week at least in Los Angeles.

From what I remember it is valid for 1 year. Did you do your Livescan? It took about 10 weeks for mine to clear.

If you are a long time follower of this thread, you can see progress. Last month they started Saturday calls, then apparently recently they added Friday pickups, previously only Wednesday. I about pulled all of my hair out before I got the pickup call, hang in there people. You've done the work, soon you will reap the rewards.

I don't think it plays any, the husband in my sig is a Vet, his wife is not. They are both moving at the same crawl. Your DD-214 is needed to verify you were not separated as Dishonorable. A Dishonorable Discharge disqualifies you from owning or possessing firearms.

That's interesting because in most other states, my old colleagues (I'm an Air Force Veteran) applied for a CCW and it is almost just given out because of DD214/ previous firearms training/qualifications we receive in Boot Camp.

The only benefit I see is that you will be able to send your training documents on or the day after you receive the proceed to training email.
