The 2 folks in my signature were still waiting as of yesterday afternoon. I told both not to wait for the Training email, just go do it, when the email comes just upload their documents. From looking through the last few pages of the thread, it is taking LASD 3 months to get Training emails out. At the rate the CCW is moving, you will likely either see Sheriff V starting a new term, or get a CCW with the new Sheriff's name on it.

That's my plan, doing training as soon as I pick up my new gun out of jail

Just so you know. They're pretty quick at replying to your email inquiries. I sent them an email today asking if they received my application (mailed on 7/18/22) and they replied saying that my application hasn't been processed but they're getting a ton of applications in the mail.

A question for the group (and a little context): I cleared my final portion of the Livescan August 5, and have been patiently waiting for my 'go to training' email. Then the news reported on the turmoil in the CCW unit, and the departure of some people that undoubtedly left them short-staffed.

So, while I wait, it occurred to me to ask whether anyone gotten a 'go to training' email since about August 1? I suspect that the CCW Unit is just way backed up and hasn't got the staff to notice that these Livescan results even got posted. If that's the case, then an email to the Unit would just be annoying them over something they can't control.

If anyone got anything, please weigh in (and about what date you got it). There might be an observable trend, or it might start to be visible that they are getting things back on track again.

Sadly no updates to report, but I will say you and i have nearly identical timelines so will be very curious to see how it starts playing out.

Wow, so frustrating. I submitted my livescan 6/21/2022 and still waiting for my firearms to clear while you pass me up with a July date. SMH.

If you bought the money order from the Post Office and still have the tear off receipt, you can go to USPS.com and see if the money order has been cashed yet.

I did send it to them with a blurb saying "please reply back to confirm receipt".

Does anyone know that they've confirmed receipt for all training docs received or do they only confirm for those who request a confirmation?
