Finally got the call today around 2p to pick up this wed!!
Big thanks to everyone who contributed to this thread.

My advice, don't summit your training certs until you are told to do so. As someone mentioned before, you'll be left in the dark until you get called for pickup. Be patient!
4/9 Mailed in app via certified mail
4/12 app received
4/29 check was cashed
5/24 called for an interview
6/1 interview
6/1 livescan
6/12 completed training. (was not asked to do training)
6/13 all portions of live scan cleared
6/17 emailed ccw unit proof of training
6/21 received email from interviewing deputy asking if i could send another proof of address. My lease is month to month. They wanted car registration instead. I replied and sent it 5 min later.
10/25 received a phone call to pick up ccw license on 10/27
I was never emailed by the ccw unit to continue with training.

Which email you sent the proof of training ?

Checking in. Looking at everyone else's timeline, I'm guessing I won't be getting my permit until some time next year. I did have a question about the codes you fellas are using as far as good cause.. What does it mean? yellow light, green light, red light etc. Thanks.

I missed my initial call for the interview. I called back a couple hours later and left a voicemail. Then called a bunch of times the next day, didn't leave more VMs. 2 days later I decided to call the investigator back at the same time he called me and it worked... He said he actually had my file in his hand when I called lol.

So if you miss the call try calling back during the same time of day you received the call.

04/17/21 - Application Sent
05/05/21 - Check Cashed
08/05/21 - Emailed CCW Unit and asked for an update (got reply next day)
08/10/21 - Investigator called (I missed the call)
08/12/21 - Successful call back to investigator
09/10/21 - Interview in Chatsworth (was told to do LS and Training)
09/10/21 - Live Scan (CA & FBI done same day)
09/16/21 - Firearms Live Scan done
09/30/21 - Training Completed (Submitted cert and was told to hold it until they ask me to submit it. They have noted that my training is complete.)

Looks like half of the April applicants are getting wrapped up six months later. Bring on the May applications!

Today might be the day, fellas. Ringer is set on highest, and even put a phone call notification vibration pattern that I can't miss! Lunch is a shake in order to eliminate the need to chew and possibly be unable to answer if I get the phone call (jk I'm craving a pollo bowl from pollo loco). Refusing to go into any underground parking structures or areas with crappy signal. No sireebob!

LASD is only to the May Applications. I sent mine in June, but there is a huge backlog, so I doubt I will hear anything until 2022.

@nin settle down sweetheart. The may applications are still getting worked on.

April applications took about 4-5 months to complete.

I would estimate the same if not longer for May, I imagine there are more applications in May.

So maybe another 5-6 months for you.
