Update on my experience.

I submitted both Yellow (work) and Green (recreation) GC.

4/28: Submitted App. Priority Mailed to CCW Unit downtown.
5/21: Money Order Cashed
8/12: Contacted by phone to schedule Interview on 9/3.
9/1: Contacted to reschedule Interview to 9/10 due to schedule issue on his end.
9/10: Interview. I left the interview with a green light to Live Scan and take training, which I completed both the next day (Saturday) and submitted my Training docs to the CCW Unit. I get the impression this is different than others have experienced... I have done 3 Live Scans this year, including for me COE, so not worried about outcome there. He did say Live Scans are usually taking a few weeks right now.

One of my buddies also had his interview at the Chatsworth and was told to proceed with the livescan and training right after the interview.

Congrats to all who had the interview and told to go ahead with the livescan and trainings.

Same situation with me with my Chatsworth deputy. He handed me all the forums and showed me approved trainers. He told me to save time to proceed with both. He also said it doesn't garuntee approval but he felt I had a good GC.

From interview date, deputy mentioned it would be around 6-8 weeks until she got her permit since her ducks were in a line.

So I count 42 - 56 days after her interview and have the est. issue date.

I had to use all fingers and toes to get to that date.

Just got a call from Sharif from CWG Realty. I heard what I was wishing to hear and got all excited until he started talking about giving me a cash offer for my property. I asked him again where he was calling from and heard it right this time. Hung up on him. Sad boys club checking in

Agreed. This was my thinking too. And while I'm not "rich", I do OK enough that if I were to get denied, I would at most be mildly irritated by losing the $175 for the class, it's not a financially painful amount. If it is a lot of money for you, then of course go ahead and wait to get the OK.

The one downside for me has been that I didn't get the "checkpoint" of having them say "proceed with training". So I've just been in sad boy purgatory for three months now with no idea what's going on.

Speaking of, sad boy checking in for another week of pain.
