    Thanks! Hang in there.

I didn't wait for the training email, but the deputy who interviewed me handed me the form and list of classes and said I would probably be fine to go ahead if I wanted to. Did not get any call or email about training after I submitted it and they responded that it had been received.

They did follow up to request some more documents regarding my business but that was it.

It was the same deputy for me two months after my interview when a request for more info came to me.

Oh to go further, the same deputy also told me to go get my training. I have not spoken or communicated with anyone else. Everything from email, phone to interview has been conducted with the same deputy over the past four months.

                  OK, funny story:

I'm sitting on the pot at work. Phone rings with "No Caller ID". Now, I don't normally answer the phone on the pot, but...

                  Det: "Hello, is this X?"
                  Me: "Yes, this is X."
Det: "Hi, I'm detective Y, calling about your CCW application?"
                  Me: "Yes?"
Det: "I'm calling to schedule your permit pick up".
Me: "Yes. Great! Yes. Thank you."
                  Det: "Are you available XXXXX?"
Me: (Didn't even check my calendar) "Yes!"
Det: "Do you have a pen and paper?"
Me: "Ahhhhh, no. I'm away from my desk right now. If you give me a second, I'll get back to my desk."
Det: "No problem. I'll hang on."
Me: (Does not even wipe, stands up, auto flusher flushes, pulling up pants) "Sorry, I wouldn't normally answer the phone in this situation, but I.. ah.. had an inkling..."
Det: (Barely holding back laughter) "Well sir, your inkling was correct..."
