Just use spit or lube next time. It helps.

Looks like this is their reason for going over the 30 days. Your live scan may show completed but they very well may not have received them from the DOJ yet. IIRC someone mentioned some results were emailed and some were snail mailed. Could be what is causing the disparity.
Possibly. I haven't called nor emailed to check the status of anything so just waiting and answering every spam/scam call
Will trade liquor/wine/beer for parts and accesories and ammo! PM me. Dont drink n shoot. Offer void where prohibited. Must be 21 or older, etc. etc.

That's not true, at least not in the sense I think you mean. While Shall Issue vs May Issue is a feature of state law, any Sheriff is perfectly free to accept "Self Defense" as good cause without any fear of review or lawsuit. Something like half of the Sheriff's in CA already do without a single problem I am aware of. The result is effectively the same as Shall Issue in all but the most technical sense.

Not that he would ever do that, but just think of what that would mean in terms of streamlining the process.
            1. No need for interviews or scheduling interviews.
            2. No need for reviewing good cause or the adequacy of the proof thereof.
            3. No need for deputies at all for the vast majority of cases unless there are questionable items in the background.
            4. The entire process could be completed by minimum wage low level clerks just like the DMV. All they need to do is make sure the application is completed properly, proof of residency and training have been provided, the background check has completed without disqualifying entries, and boom, schedule the pick-up. You could train a HS grad to do this job in a day. A clerk could complete dozens in a day.
I wish today's liberals could understand: You cannot be generous by giving away other peoples' money and you cannot demonstrate your virtue by your willingness to give up other peoples' rights.

The more time I spend on this forum, the more sense kcbrown makes.

Yes, this is what I meant above, I just didn't feel like continuing the argument (have to do my actual job haha).

You are correct that Villanueva, while improved, is still not going to willingly implement this. My hope is SCOTUS soon will give him no choice but to do so.

You could have just one deputy dedicated to the truly "borderline" cases, which are rare. Everyone else should be a simple yes or no. Did you pass your background check and do the training class? Cool, you're in.

FYI, my interview call came after 4pm. Others had the same experience. So keep buying those car warranties into the evening.

Fair enough. I meant in the practical sense, but you are correct that technically it's still GC, even if in practice it is indistinguishable from the shall-issue regimes we see in most states.

My interview call was around 7:30pm on a Tuesday. Waiting for my pickup call now and buying car warranties all night if I have to! Also just got a great vacation package that I forgot I’d signed up for.
