Your permit allows you to legally carry concealed in public. That means no you won’t be charged with a crime should they find it on you but they can certainly bar you from entering. At that point if you insist on staying they will charge you wilth trespassing. Same goes for target, Starbucks, or your local McDonald’s. If they spot it on you they can ask you to leave and yes you will have to leave but no you won’t be charged with a crime.

Someone else posted information that suggested the deputies processing applications and doing interviews are collecting data for final review and decision making at a higher level in the chain of command.

If that is correct, your experience could be explained by the post-interview higher review person asking the interviewing deputy to get more information.

that seems what is happening, but after interview, i was under the impression that i need to get livescan and course taken asap and then it's just waiting game of picking up the permit.

if there was higher level to go through, then it should've done prior to livescan and course. otherwise, $300 is just wasted.

Back in 2012, I went to Disney land with my family and went through the metal detector at the gate. I told them that I was LEO and they still told me to leave the park. I got my money back and went to Knott's instead.

That was my last time spending money at any disney theme places.

You will almost certainly need to Vol-Reg it with CA DOJ. As you complete the process, the website gives you an opportunity to print/save-as-PDF your competed form. Do that. LASD may accept that in case your submission is not processed and entered into the database by the time they check.

Dude I did the exact same thing. I also triple-checked to make sure the B-27 target wasn't in fact one of the smaller targets at least. It isn't, it's indeed the huge 1-1 lifesize one.

I guess it makes some logical sense. Most self-defense shootings are within 7 yards, and you would presumably be shooting at an attacker about that size.

Still, if you are just barely landing torso shots at 3-5-7 yards under no stress, yikes. Practice more.

Had my interview today. They said it could be up to three months until I have my permit in my hand. Since I’d already done my live scan, she guessed two months for me.
