Mannnn I really wish I knew to email mine instead of snail mailing it. I mailed it in on April 12, they cashed the check May 5, and I have no idea what date that puts me at. I should be around April 15 at worst, as it shouldn't take more than a couple days to delivery mail from Whittier to the Sheriffs office, but who knows.

Hoping to get the call this week.

Oh, thought there were references to people submitting electronically, maybe I misunderstood.

So when people on here are referencing exact dates, is it just mailing dates? Or are people dropping it off in person?

You can see the day/time the application was delivered/signed for if it was sent certified mail/priority or, in my case, sent via FedEx envelope with tracking/signature required.

Ah. See I like to live dangerously and just sent it regular mail. I only know they got it because the check was cashed.

                  Yes, I'm dumb.

A quick note on the asian and afraid GC.

My LG GC i wrote on my application implied that. But the Deputy called me and gave me a chance to figure out if my employment at ALL has anything related to me getting a CCW.

Long story short. You might get lucky and they’ll call you, or you just wasted their time.

This whole thread on top of Paladin’s initial posts for the advice thread will help. Otherwise, whats the point of using Calguns as a resource in the first place.

Whats the deal. 50 bucks a month? Is there a Calguns discount?

If we're talking about modifying the guns that you have on your permit, yes. If we're talking about changing which guns you want listed on your permit, no. Just so no one misunderstands what I'm saying.

I think its because his deputy told him verbally that you can change what guns are on your permit, via re-submitting the application.

But because its a verbal exchange, rather than a recorded email, I think we should all be on the safe side and stick with the policy of waiting 2 years on renewal to change guns.
