That might have gone over my head ....but LA does allow for modifications on your CCW firearms.

My G19 that was certified has a Vortex Venom Red Dot with an aftermarket barrel/slide. Extend controls. Zev Trigger.

This is not true whatsoever. As long as the firearm complies with state/federal laws, the modifications are allowed with a LA County permit.

Pertaining to changing firearms on a permit already issued by LASD, they are exploring the option but need to go to the Board of Supervisors with how much It will cost, what they should charge, how much man power they are authorized for etc etc.

Be patient. They will realize sooner than later, this will be another money making opportunity.

That clause is no longer htere.
Go ahead and send CCW_unit@lasd.org a question and I'm sure you'll get the response my wife and I did.

I never did understand why the firearms section of the live scan takes weeks and the DOJ and FBI can be cleared anywhere between 24 -72hrs. The firearm bureau must be either understaffed or they have to do the process manually.

Can anyone shed any light?

@fluffy I asked the deputy during my interview on 4/21 and his response was the same thing.

I asked to get it in writing. He said to email the CCW email @ LASD.
So I did and I have it in writing.
