Same here. My FBI and CA cleared the same day I did the livescan but still waiting on firearms. It's been 2 weeks now and still no update on the firearms portion.

For anyone questioning about their check not being cashed, I believe all checks received during the month are cashed at the end of the month.

Wow I'm surprised they don't have one of those desktop check scanners and just scan it at the office. Would save time for everyone involved.

This is all amazing news for us LA co folk. Hope that with the saturation of CCW applicants is going to bring on some changes for the good.

Seems like the consensus as of this week was that LASD does not require the denial from LAPD any longer. Although a phone call to LASD and telling them your location and situation is probably your best bet.

So I'm beginning my GC statement and was looking for some advice. Would ya'll think it would be better to have one good cause with little evidence, or would it be better to have a couple instances?

My perspective is that if I put too many instances it may look like I'm just grabbing for dear life to get this CCW, at least in the eyes of the officer reading this.

I initially outlined 8 reasons or incidents then picked my top 3 most compelling and wrote paragraphs for each from light red to light green. I had 4 short paragraphs. One for each reason and a final summary paragraph. I went back through and took out all the wordy stuff that was making it long and kept it direct and to the point and attached evidence for each reason.
