I've been away from this thread for a while and feel like now I can take it seriously and put in my app. It seems like a lot has changed but this thread is so long I don't know where it start. Are there cliff notes for the current situation? I'm seeing pages of high fives and I have no idea what is going on.

My coworker application was received on 04/18/2021.
Check was cashed on 05/12/2021.
No phone call for an interview. So I had him email ccw unit on 10/28/2021. He received a response for his information for his application and the ccw unit acknowledged that they will look into it.
Today he received a call that his application was lost and he will go into an interview the beginning of December.
He will need to bring a new print out of his application for his file.
Luckily I had him email ccw unit or else it would have not been acknowledge that it was lost.

There was a VERY interesting article in Politico which also touched on carry issues - https://www.politico.com/news/magazi...-owners-522562*AZ/UT Permits*

If a decision is positive (Nash and Koch get their permits), then even if it is a narrow opinion, it will at least say the "proper cause" requirement, as applied by the permit issuer, must accept a general cause such as "desire to exercise my fundamental right of self-defense." It would not invalidate the NY statute but would require that it be applied in that way. The same would be required of law enforcement in any other "proper cause" or "good cause" jurisdiction, and the statute in California would not necessarily be invalid so long as the sheriff accepts the more general "good cause" as good enough.
If you have been denied with a checkmark in the denial letter next to "good cause," I would immediately submit a letter with a copy of the denial letter asking for reconsideration of your application on the basis of the new Supreme Court decision.Comment

No reason to wait for a year from the date of denial.
