You will have any free time to practice at the range after the 2 hrs class.


Date: Monday 09/27/21, 0750 AM at the gate. They open at 8 am sharp.

Location: A Place to shoot @ 33951 San Francisquito Canyon Rd, Santa Clarita, CA 91390

Items to bring:

Water & Snacks
First Aid kit if you have one.
knee pads, hat, safety glasses, and ear protection.
Ammo: between 200 to 300 rounds.
Holster and mag pouch.
Gun oil and cleaning kit
Bring $17 cash for admission to the range.

What kind of jobs do you boys have that allows you to shoot on Mondays? Maybe I need to look for a new line of work.

...During the interview, he asked me more questions about my work. Mind you, my GC had nothing to do with my employer. So then he asked me if I could get a letter listing my job duties, specifically that I'm on call. So then he told me that although my current GC was strong, adding the work stuff would make it a guaranteed approval.

So I sent him a revised GC and a letter from my manager indicating the same. One thing I asked is if they would contact my employer. I made it clear that I didn't want my employer to know anything about my CCW or that I own Firearms. He affirmed they would not. I hope he's right.

I find this encouraging in a couple of respects. His efforts to strengthen your GC shows they are looking for reasons to approve, rather than reasons to deny. I also like the fact that they show a clear understanding that it is generally inappropriate to let your employer know about your application or your gun ownership. Thumbs up t LASO for both of those.

so i have my interview scheduled in Whittier but no information on it, i have emailed the CCW unit email address posted a couple pages back, checked through all my emails and have no confirmation.

any suggestions anyone? just show up and wait for my call to come in?
