    1) I can list 2 guns on the license but only need to qualify with 1? The CCSO website says to bring 18 rds per weapon which suggests you bring both.
    2) Do you just have one chance to qualify that day or do they give you another go if you yank a shot and score <126? Not that worried it?ll happen as my current average is 171 but ya never know.
    3) One of my guns is a Shield Plus and has a manual safety. I don?t use the manual safety, I never plan to use it, am I required to operate it during the quals?
    4) I?m told the course of fire starts with hand on holstered weapon, is that accurate?

Thanks in advance, any other tips appreciated.
I think your other questions were answered so I'll attempt to answer question 3. This is not specific to your Shield but to a gun with a manual safety. One of the firearms I qualified with was the Beretta 92FS. At the line, the RSO didn't ask or care about the manual safety. My procedure was to load the magazine with the slide locked to the rear and the safety off. Once the magazine was inserted and the slide released (bullet in the chamber and 5 bullets in the magazine), I activated the safety before inserting the gun into the holster. Once in the holster, I removed the safety so the firearm was ready for the draw. Again, this was just my procedure. Good luck!

This is only the second CCW permit shooting I can remember hearing about in CoCo in like 20 years. And the other one had the same outcome.

Yeah, I was surprised too. Surprised a dude in a cannabis related industry was legally permitted.

This reminds me that I need to train for two assailants.

Conversed with the Sherriff's specialist regarding their "progress".

They are currently working on the April '23 applicants. So it appears they have not picked up the pace in the slightest over the last year and a half.

Checking if anyone may know what the reason is for more waiting after a passing qualification shoot for the coco county issued ccw permit. I am on week 3 following it and did email them today however only received back the
same auto generated permitium email that I need to schedule the qual...which has been completed. Perhaps
they are backlogged with people coming in to pay and receive permits but not clear as to why I am coming up on week 4 and nothing after a sucsessful qual. I did notice a sentence in the email I received on instructions for qualification day that states "Completion of the qualification is only a step in the issuance of a permit" Thanks if anyone has more knowledge on this. It's not uncommon. From what I understand the Sheriff still signs every permit and if he's on vacation or has other priorities they just sit on his desk.

That's weird. I did my qualification early in March and got contacted 2days after by phone/email to pay online and book a time to pick up my permit. Have you tried calling? They usually contact you within a week of passing from what I was told

Thanks gentlemen. Will just phone them mid week next week. I did take a photo
of my second target but didn't think to take a photo of my form on the clipboard. I guess at this juncture it warrants a phone call in. Appreciate the feed back from you both.

I passed at the beginning of the month and got it a few days later. Did anyone get a letter after from s/o after?

Martinez PD. I believe they are making Martinez residents go through the SO now, which sucks.
