As a resident of Pleasant Hill, has anyone found out any alternatives to speed up the process? I know concord PD is issuing for residents. Haven't gotten an answer about Pleasant Hill.

    Thanks
I submitted my application 6 months ago. I emailed the CCW team to check on progress and they replied the same as you said above. It's taken a year for those who applied in April 2023.

A right delayed is a right denied! Someone should sue them for under resourcing the program.

My live scan date was 4/12/23 and I completed the 8hr class 6/06/23. I picked up my permit 5/24/24. About 13 months for the process. Way too long and frustrating, but so happy to finally have it.

Congratulations! I agree that the timeline is way too long.

Hi Sundae - Did CCSO accept your 8 hour class since your live scan and class were done before the new law went into effect? I reached out to CCSO who stated they would honor my 8 hour class from last fall (I initially applied in June 2023). Can anybody else confirm this to be true? It seems like there is conflicting information floating out there that anybody who was not licensed (or received their qualification) before the new law went into effect would be required to take the 16 hour class - despite already taking the 8 hour one. But from what I'm getting from the Sheriff and the post from Sundae, that doesn't appear to be the case. Anybody else pick up their CCW with only the 8 hour class in 2024? Appreciate everybody's helpful information and apologize if this question has already been answered.

I did my 8 hour class in May 2023 and I was approved. Just did my qualifying.

Thank you! Seems like the 8 hour class is sufficient for those of us that started last year.

Had trouble finding anyone Tim came to the rescue. Top notch. Figured some other people might be having trouble finding an instructor. Here is my review if anyone is interested in multi state to get 30 states reciprocity including Washington.

Just did this course. It was so quick and easy I wish I did it sooner. Gained something like 30 states including Washington! Tim was able to meet at starbucks as it's basically paperwork and presentations going over gun safety and Utah laws It was so simple. Tim was very professional, focused, fast and easy going. He also did

How early should I begin the renewal process? My CCW will be expiring in March 2025.

Not until 120 days before you expire.
