Reopening Part Deux! We have a more powerful server, twice the CPU and four times the RAM.
I'm kind of afraid to say this but... let's stress test this thing!
I just put in a modification to add a gun and I was told it is taking up to 30 days to get a modified permit that will reflect the new gun.
That seems like a long time just to add a new gun to the permit.

Not to be a negative-nancy, but that seems pretty ridiculous.
Glad I chose to add all 4 "viable" handguns to my application, even though I won't likely be putting them all into rotation. Just a coincidence, since I didn't know it how arduous changes were at the time.

That is always a good idea. It gives you protection against inadvertent transportation errors such as the lock on the case did not actually lock but you thought it did.
I wish today's liberals could understand: You cannot be generous by giving away other peoples' money and you cannot demonstrate your virtue by your willingness to give up other peoples' rights.

Anyone got their CCW modified lately? If so, how many weeks it took for you to receive your new one.
I submitted a change of address change on 21 February. The actual permit came this past Monday(21 March).
MUCH more interesting to me... On the 17th of March, I got an email from Sondee at SDCSO, who asked to see the entire SDGE bill. I replied to her with the photo of the entire bill on the 17th. And, the permit was in my hand on the 21st.
So, when they get to the actual work, it takes very little time to get the permit through the system and into your hands.

Really, the first page with your name and address were not enough? What possible information could be on the subsequent pages that confirms your address beyond what is on the first page?
I don't know if they still do it, but when SD first opened up, they insisted that you had to use utility bills that covered a one month period not two months. The issue was not how recent the bill was, just the time period it covered so somehow a two month bill that arrived yesterday was not as good a proof as a one month bill that arrived 3+ weeks ago. That never made any sense to me.

So, now that Anthony Ray has been selected as the interim sheriff, does anyone know his position on CCW issuance? He’ll be the sheriff until at least November, 2022 and many applications will come his way.
Hopefully he doesn’t reverse any progress made but it would be nice to know his stance. Like others here, SDSO is not my law enforcement agency so I’d vote for a sheriff based solely on his/her 2A and CCW position. Not too concerned about the other sheriff related issues.
