I wish today's liberals could understand: You cannot be generous by giving away other peoples' money and you cannot demonstrate your virtue by your willingness to give up other peoples' rights.
The more time I spend on this forum, the more sense kcbrown makes

His website is nothing more than a donate request. No information on any stance.I finally got a response from Meyers's team regarding CCW and GC, "There is information available about his CCW Policy position along with a CCW Policies and Procedures position paper that outlines the process of a CCW under his leadership. Dave still believes that Self Defense is acceptable for good cause in obtaining a CCW Permit."
For this, he will get my vote.Comment

I received a call from my backgrounds investigator 2 nights ago (about 85 days in) and he said I would hear back verdict in average 10 days from then. I do not have much on my file so I think a little over 90 days is typical right now.Comment

The law says they have more than 90 days. If the background check does not come in until day 89, they have 30 days after that. If the background check does not come in for 6 months, they have 30 more days after it does come in.The representative on the phone told me they have till 90 days maximum to approve. They also said it may take a little longer if they can’t verify citations like speeding tickets but not to worry about the dates it will not affect your approval. Mine took about 98 days as well.
Penal Code 26205
The licensing authority shall give written notice to the applicant indicating if the license under this article is approved or denied. The licensing authority shall give this notice within 90 days of the initial application for a new license or a license renewal, or 30 days after receipt of the applicant’s criminal background check from the Department of Justice, whichever is later. If the license is denied, the notice shall state which requirement was not satisfied.Comment

WOW, I have been dealing with (fighting with) SD Sheriffs Lic Div since 1994. No more bad feelings and no more badmouthing. People and things do change. Used Permitium for first time 02/13/22 for renewal and scanned them out of date Ca Drivers Lic and CC payment. A very courteous and polite clerk Luz just called and asked for current Lic emailed to her. She said she'd send the CCW today. Then got an email confirming and an automated phone call that also confirmed and said "SD Sheriffs wish you a safe and happy day" Well God bless the whole lot of them and I hope Sheriff Gore is out golfing and having fun!Last edited by marcusrn; 03-03-2022, 9:10 AM.sigpicComment

As previously stated above by another member, mine took about 1year and 3 months total also.
Original start of me looking and applying online was may 2021 and got interview for oct 2022.
Got oct2022 appt moved up to oct 2021
then 91days for final approval
then 24days for actual ccw card to come in the mail.
Its a test of patience. If anyone wanted to use the carry permit nefariously they had plenty of time to cool down before issuance thats for sure...LOLComment

I don't remember... Are we (SD County) required to inform the Sheriff's dept of any LEO contact? I've been all over the SDCS's site and can't seem to find that info.Comment

I suggest we all should contact him. I did and that was their response.
IMO, the more contacts they get, they need address the issue.
