    3,5,7 yards,
    weak hand too
qualify with all firearms you have listed, so depending how many you list you go through it a few times.
You can miss a few times each time if I recall, it's a standard B27 target style
Basically it's demonstrate safe control of your firearm. You don't need tiny groups so don't stress about that.

We all suck weak hand! LOL the target is pretty big though. If I recall they may not make you do it for 7 yards. Maybe someone who recently did it knows for sure. It's been over a year for me.

If I recall properly with my instructor, 7 yards was two handed, and one handed weak hand was at 3 yards only.

I have had multiple great training experiences with Kyle Dau at Discount Gun Mart on Morena Bl.

You will especially enjoy Patrick, who does the actual shooting portion. He is exceptionally low key and low pressure. Sounds like just what you need.

Yup, Patrick made it fun for me where he called out the location of the target to shoot. I thought that was interesting.

He did that with me too. I actually really appreciated him trying to make it interesting and productive if I was going to be wasting ammo for this nonsense.

                          5 shots 7 yds
                          5 shots 5 yards
3 shots single strong hand 3 yds
2 shots single weak hand 3 yds
I did it 4 days ago with each handgun at a B 27 like target

I heard someone at the indoor gun range told me you need to be able to shoot from 3-7 yards when going through the training certificate to pass?

                            How accurate is that statement?
The requirement is clearly spelled out on the Sheriff's information page:

Both the new applicant and the renewal applicant course of training shall include live-fire shooting exercises on a firing range and shall include a demonstration by the applicant of safe handling of, and shooting proficiency with, each firearm that the applicant is applying to be licensed to carry. The course of fire qualification requirements are as follows:

From the 7 yard line 5 Rounds Two-hand grip
From the 5 yard line 5 Rounds Two-hand grip
From the 3 Yard line 3 Rounds One-hand (Strong only)
From the 3 Yard line 2 Rounds One-hand (Weak only)

In order to pass the qualification course of fire, applicants must have 11 of the 15 Rounds fired either hit on the line of or inside of the target. If applicant cannot demonstrate proficiency, then the license cannot be granted.

Some good news San Diego County Gun Owners says all three Sheriff candidates support CCW, unfortunately the republican candidate that has been endorsed by the San Diego republican party is very pro red flag laws. As we know those can have next to no safeguards from being abused. But for now, looks like current CCW policy may survive into the next Sheriff’s term.

This is good news. We will never know for sure, but perhaps they are just reading the SCOTUS tea leaves. I think it is highly unlikely that GC requirements will survive the Bruen decision due by June. That's not to say that one Sheriff vs another can't make a difference in the ease and speed with which permits are issued. I would still look for the most pro 2A candidate.
