Tomorrow (Saturday) is our October SJSS Shoot. I hope to be there this time.
I'm not having a glass of wine, I'm having SIX. It's called a tasting and it's classy.

      Hi, Rogue,

We'll be looking forward to seeing you, and all of the other folks who have made these events enjoyable.......... : )

Emilio will be bringing his barbecue and hamburgers/hot dogs, etc.

If someone could provide a nice pie for the 'pie shoot' event, I'd appreciate.

      cheers

          Hi, Nino,

This event is a 'range outreach' public-service program, intended to provide basic firearms familiarisation/safety/proficiency instruction for 'newbies', especially, but not limited to, women and young people.

I also solicit the attendance of some experienced shooters so that newbies can be provided with 'one on one' supervision/coaching.

Its also a social event, with barbecue and 'munchies', 'weather permitting' on barbecue, and, usually, a 'pie shoot' in which the best newbie shooter wins a nice pie. The winner has the option of taking the pie home, but the evolved custom has been for the pie winner to cut the pie and share it out with the other attendees.

22 rifles are provided, and I solicit donations of 22 rounds, so that the event is completely free to everyone. (I'm secty of the Rifle Club which operates the range, and got the other Board members to agree to donate the range time for the event)

So......you are welcome, just bring a 'newbie' or 'do your bit' by helping a newbie learn about basic rifle/handgun shooting with 22's.

          cheers

          Carla
