Interesting info about Buds Gun Shop

I just had a customer order a firearm from jetguns.com, which when I looked up their information it stated that their name was "Buds Gun Shop". So, since BudsGunShop.com has a copy of my FFL, I called to associate the order with my FFL, but learned something quite interesting instead.

It seems that BudsGunShop.com decided to use the name from another place in the same state. Needless to say that this has resulted in a lawsuit. I was told that the original should be getting their name back. They were forced to change their name on the building, in part due to the bad name that has been given to the name.

So, if budsgunshop.com suddenly disappears, you will know what happened. This could also present some future issues with people placing orders since a judgment could bankrupt budsgunshop.com.

The original Buds Gun Shop was forced to change the name on the building because of the bad name that the other Buds Gun Shop has given the name. Look for negative issues with "Buds Gun Shop" and if that was really your name, would you want to be associated with that name?

The FFL copies I have been receiving for about a year have been from Bud's Police Supply. That wasn't the case originally. Wonder whatzup.

The original was not just called "Buds", it was called "Buds Gun Shop". Both are in Kentucky, actually only 15 miles away from each other. The original only changed their name after the other started doing business under the same name.

Depending on the profit of the website Buds and the size of any judgment against them, it is possible that could bankrupt the website Buds. Could the website Buds change names and still stay is business? If they lose, the website name would no longer be under their control, which would make it hard for people to find them again.

In looking at the BATF FFL database, there are currently three "Buds Gun Shop". There used to be some others, but it seems that their licenses changed. What is now Jetguns.com was licensed before the website Buds.

That's just the name on the FFLs they have been sending to me with the firearms that people have ordered from Bud's Gun Shop. Their FFL used to say Buds Gun Shop.
