I think it might be good to have a sticky in this forum titled: "How to Get Access to FFLs Only"

So that FFLs that don't frequent here much or as new ones come by they know what they need to do.

I know I had a hard time figuring out who was a moderator and ended up PMing Kes a few days ago and my access was granted. Maybe that thread can be used as a "request" thread for those seeking access.

Just a thought since this is relatively new.

Same here. I resent him a PM and got added. Suspect he's dealing with a lot of requests.

Sorry about that, your request came in while we were dealing with the site issues. One of the issues was not being able to make changes to member accounts. I wasn't able to change usernames, usergroups or any of that.

On the plus side I could still ban people so that was good...

That brings up an interesting question: Once a transgressor has done sufficient time in the "Ban Jail", do they ever get reinstated back into the community...?

If this is what I was thinking...said transgressor was banned from FFL's Forum... Not FFL's Only

Depends.

A ban can be time limited, from a minimum of one day to years, or forever.

Or, a member can be 'un-banned' at a date determined by a mod - not automatic.

Some people get perma-banned, create a new username, and stay below the radar ever after. That's against the rules, but a 'venial' sin. It is seldom a secret for long, and if Mr K is OK with it, it gets ignored.

Some people get perma-banned, create a new username, and revert to bannable behaviors in a short time. Rinse, repeat; several infamous examples get discussed regularly.

Can't speak to 'ban by forum'; have not done that, don't think I can do it, and I suspect I could not see that condition without a lot more poking around than seems worth the time.
