Using that logic, DOJ has no requirement to tell anyone anything until 30 days. If they think that is legal, I'm surprised that wasn't SOP now. Or maybe it will be going forward. "All waiting periods shall be somewhere between 10 and 29 days, when we feel like getting around to it. Doing it right at 10 days was us just being nice."

I have an earliest pickup time coming up at around 5:30pm on 4/7 but I was not planning to go pickup until 4/8.
I guess I'll check if it's marked to deliver after my 240 hours before I head over to pickup on 4/8.

You won't know until 240 hours after you do the PPT if there is a problem or not.

On a related to note does it only seem to be an issue with the delivering guns, or are the Ammunition Background checks delayed as well?

Instant ammo checks are still going through without a problem. I have a person who started a basic ammo check on 3/22 and they are still pending now 16 days later.

I would recommend you call before going down there.

So it could be because they can't get through to CA DOJ to process shipping to my FFL? At least I used American Express. If they don't contact me or ship by Friday, I am cancelling and disputing.

The entire industry is backed up. I would encourage patience. RSR states they are 14-16 days behind on shipping anything right now. And they are.

No. Go start your PPT. Just be prepared not to receive it until after your ten days are up by an extra day or 20.

Something else I noticed. The "LATEST DELIVERY DATE" on DROSs will be adjusted to when CA DOJ actually gives us the Approval + 20 days. This means that if you attempt to purchase a handgun 31 or 32 days after you started your last DROS you will likely get a 1-30 day rejection even though it's 1-32 or 1-34 days, etc..

That's incorrect, the one in 30 days date refers to DROS date+time it was entered in, NOT delivery date.

A customer could purchase a handgun on April 1st at 8am gets approved on April 15. He can pick it up on May 1st and also purchase another handgun after he picks it up at 8:01am

Keep in mind we should be seeing approvals at 240hours, but we're not seeing those either.

So I have two pending that should have been delivered last night at 6:35 PM and then another at 7:39 AM this morning.

However, a guy that was up at 7:01 AM this morning is good to go.

Same kinda thing. One in every few DROSes are approved and the others...pending over 48 hours and still counting.

Makes no sense.

I'm now wondering if we see approval for a person that's On Shift.. and then when someone else comes on shift they are assigned to the other batches that come through sporadically.
