I am always surprised at how anti law & order this board is.

Lets protect the criminal, lets help him to avoid answering for his crimes.

What if he broke into YOUR house, would you still want his parents to cover for him, invoke is right to remain silent, or ignore the detective?

What if he stole YOUR car?

What if he had sex with YOUR underage daughter?

What if he stole property from YOUR business?

NO, the police may not be HIS friend, but they are the VICTIM'S friend. Does no one here get that??????

I never heard anyone support criminal active on this forum by not answering questions from a LEO....Its not about criminals but gun rights and we all know how Califorina is and their laws are backed up by LEOS and F*cked up DAs looking to get a kill.........I for one wouldn't tell a LEO if a was transporting a Firearm or if I had firearms in my house.... Crime is another story! I fully support the LEOs keeping us safe...

Using your description of DAs is not permitted and if you want to continue posting/viewing in the le forum stop using the pejorative to describe a govt. agent.

I didn't read every post in this thread, but...

My personal opinion is, the small minority of "contraviousial" LEO actions provide the vast fodder for the majority of negative LEO posts here. Maybe I'm wrong...

I think, and hope, the vast majority of CalGunners are law abiding citizens who deeply appreciate law enforcement. However the few bad encounters recieve the most play and media. Again, I might be wrong.

And their are some undesirable cops. I recently had a criminal experience requiring contact with several departments to investigate and follow up. My home town cop was not pleasant, disrepectafull and cursed at me. However the Pittsburg PD officer I dealt with was awesome. I even wrote a very fine letter to his chief regarding my appreciation of him...and he replied thanking me.

My opinion, worth what you paid for it...

If one takes into account some of those anti LEO statements (especially those that describe a bad contact experience) and replace it with your choice of an ethnic group how would you be viewed? People would call you a racist. Its the same thought process, but instead of an ethnic group its an occupation.

The other statement made by a poster was something about every time he speaks to LEO he has to..... I didn't ask on the thread, but I was thinking GEEZ....How many times have the cops had to talk to you?? In my first 21+ yrs of life I can think of one criminal investigation (I was a witness), two tickets and I'll throw in a couple more unknowns for giggles & grins before I became a cop. Maybe the next time one of these things pop up (and you know it will) I may ask how many times have they had to talk to a cop? If I don't maybe someone here can and ask why? I know a guy on my softball team that hates cops (except me). Then I find out he's been arrested for three DUI's, two evading arrests, one drug smuggling charge and thats the charges he talks about! But guess what....he wants to buy a gun!!

Another poster stated if the 17 yr old kid didn't commit murder or rape he wouldn't turn his kid in (or something close to that). Gun rights had nothing to do with it and neither did the thread.

Bottom line is we are all pro 2nd amendment or else we would not be here. When people on this forum bash an occupation (no matter what it is) to the point where some leave this forum they are hurting the cause. Can you imagine just one LEO who left the forum due to bashing, but then goes to a gun show (because he/she likes guns or else they wouldn't be here in the first place) and sees a Cal Guns booth. What do you think he/she tells their friends (especially LEO friends)? Its not healthy at all, but its allowed to go on. I have friends in the car business for the past 25+ yrs. Word of mouth is the best advertisement. So much so they stopped the big advertisements in newspapers. Word of mouth is your worst enemy too. One bad deal will multiply 20 fold.

Gotta love the annonymity of the internet..........

There is so much FUD in this thread, I don't know where to start !! It amazes me how every few months, a thread like this pops up and the cop-haters and trollers come out of the wood work!! If you read between the lines, the LE guys figure out pretty quick that it's just someone 'venting'.........The OP got a ticket he didn't agree with, or his old lady got a TRO against him and the cops took his guns, or he got his kid taken away or god knows what other perceived 'injustice'........I'm not saying that's the case with this OP as he/she seems to be pro-LE, but we have all seen the posts.....some of them in this thread.

Look......this is a pro-2A site. The cops who post here are pro-2A and support ALL your rights!! Quit basing your 'opinions' about LE on what you see on CSI, read in the LA Times or what your 'friend' told you happened to them last time they got pulled over......Can't we all just get along??!!

All of the anti leo comments need to come to a screeching halt. For those of you who have not read the rules or have forgotten them, I would highly recommend reading them.

Continual leo bashing may result in some members no longer being able to view or post in this forum.
