Can I modify my duty weapon?

That's what I was thinking... Sounds like the majority of the process is still in the future... OP, I would not change ANYTHING about your firearm, duty gear, or anything at all until you have been around a bit. The last thing you want is to be brand new and already attracting attention to yourself as the guy that can't leave anything alone.Comment

I do realize that I'm thinking to ahead of the future. And I kind of understand why would I want to mess with my duty weapon. Personally I don't think the process is so hard or tough. That's probably the marine inside telling me that. Also this weapon might one day save a life either its mine or someone else. And personally a stock weapon can only take me so far. Thats why we upgrade them right?(Beside making them look badass!) To help us perform better and faster right?Comment

OP, is this the kind of customization you are thinking about?

Nope.
Your department will issue you a firearm and will expect you to maintain it in the condition it was issued."Bruen, the Bruen opinion, I believe, discarded the intermediate scrutiny test that I also thought was not very useful; and has, instead, replaced it with a text history and tradition test." Hey homies, pack it up we're leaving town. There's a marine with a bad assed looking gun trying to join the PD.I do realize that I'm thinking to ahead of the future. The funny thing is, the 2 people in my academy class who passed out when we got gassed were marines. Not hating, just funny.
Judging by some of your comments, police work isn't just running and gunning. Sure, some departments let you modify your duty gun. But that Defense Attorney is going to eat that up in court if you happen to be involved in an OIS."None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free." - Johann Wolfgang von GoetheComment
