Stop freaking out about a BAD lever on your AR... My AR that had one went through without issue as well.

Ya, if the question is whether or not BAD levers pose some sort of compliance issue or something, it's nothing to worry about. It's just an extended bolt release. Gavin doesn't care about your bolt release any more than he cares about your charging handle.

Has anybody else tried to register with the Magpul BAD lever installed?

All of mine had the BAD lever. No issues.

Sorry to ask again but I can't get a straight answer.... Do you volreg featureless 80% AR rifles/pistol with patriot mag locks that are already serialized on the same form as you would for assault weapons? Also, do they require pics?

My brain hurts searching this site... can an AR pistol built within the last 5 mos (be it yesterday to Jan 1) as a single shot(no gas system installed), with fixed mag be converted to semiauto?

Nobody knows exactly, but most people are leaning towards "probably not". I wouldn't try it myself.

Been some great advice on this thread so far. GOING THROUGH THE PROCESS. I am registering an AR pistol built from an 80% lower. Frustrating to say the least and confusing as well.

For the "Additional firearm characteristics(select all that apply)", if I have a bullet button, do I select "The capacity to accept a detachable magazine outside the pistol grip"???

Also, I have an A2 flash hider(not pinned) attached to front of the 10.5" barrel. Do I select "threaded barrel(capable of accepting a flash suppressor, forward handgrip, or silencer'??

Does my free-float handguard count as a "Shroud that is attached to, or partially or completely encircles, the barrel that allows the bearer to fire the weapon without burning the bearer's hand"???

I was inclined to say yes to all of the above but wanted check in first.

My CFARS login/password isn't resetting using their web reset system. Should I call or email them about it? Do the phone people have the ability to do web account admin stuff?

It seems as though most people get their physical letter in the mail within a relatively short time frame after getting the email that we've all interpreted to be an approval, despite it not explicitly saying so.

Its been a few weeks for me since getting those emails but still no physical letters.

Anybody else experience this?

Submitted some rifles about 10 days ago now, and not even a confirmation that they've received my submissions. Is anyone else getting a long period of time between actual submissions and any kind of reply from CFARs, like a processing email, or a kickback for some nitpicky detail on your particular submission?

I got no emails other than the payment. I happened to login and saw the they had been flagged as incomplete. I then clicked on them and read what the doj was asking for.

No email after correction, no email asking for corrections. Seems like it’s a crapshoot.

Chucker, I have the same question, built in 2013, featureless self assigned serial to DOJ guidelines.
