Finally tried to register and what a joke. It won't let me. Keeps giving me an error message saying something about invalid characters in the address line. Wtf

Somewhat common issue, try a different web browser and/or computer.
Settle down, folks. The new "ghost gun" regulations probably don't do what you think they do.

I don't have a letter yet myself so I don't know if they put the AWR number on it. If they didn't, then don't stress about it, just leave it blank. They'll match you up with your existing registrations even if you don't give them that number.

I used Firefox without issue, not sure on other ones. What browsers work for some people don't work for others. Their website is complete shyte.

Just downloaded Firefox and had same issue. I only have one computer or a phone.

I had that issue when I submitted my info. I deleted all periods in the address field, such as I would normally enter after entering Blvd. or occasionally S. Street Name.

Once I deleted the periods it didn't give me a error. Hope that helps.

I feel stupid for asking this but when entering the serial number do I include the 2 letter prefix? I have a colt rifle so where the numbers are engraved there is a LE in front.

I assumed I didn't have to on the form but now I'm having doubts. If I do, am I able to edit it while it's "In Progress"?

I now realize that I probably do need to joint registration with my spouse, but I already submitted my forms with "Is it your intention to joint register this firearm? No" and no JR details in the comments.

What's the best way, if any to achieve joint registration? Do I open an issue to ask for updates to my forms?

From my limited research, a Gun Trust. And I don't even believe you need to fill out any forms with the state, you just add the registered weapon to your trust's roster. You might want to notarize the roster each time you add or remove a weapon in case someone passes away and they take away the gun safe "losing" the only record of Gun Trust firearms.

Gun trust lawyers, please correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes, include all the alphanumeric letters. Do not include spaces or hyphens. So for one of my ARs, the serial is T-5555, so I entered "T5555" and put in under Comments section "The actual serial is "T-5555", to avoid any confusion down the line.

If the DOJ hasn't sent you an Incomplete Notice yet, you may or may not be able to edit your submission. Click under Pending Transactions the rifle's serial number and scroll to the bottom to see if you still have an "Edit" button. If you don't, use the Report An Issue link.

If they've sent you an incomplete, you will have an "Edit" button and you can correct it.

                          Hope this helps.

I don't see any other option other than using the Report An Issue link. Unless the submission is still very fresh and you still have an Edit button under the registration submission in CFARS>Transaction History.

Just got my registration letter in. All my post 2014 rifles have been registered. I submitted my application on 4/15 and today it came in the mail. The letter is dated 5/18. So approximately 5.5 weeks from application to receiving the letter in hand. I had no kickbacks at all. I just waited patiently.

Now I just need to get this thing laminated. Has anybody used Fedex for lamination? Is it a do it yourself kind of thing? I really don't want to hand them my registration letter.
