I agree with you in the fact that if they said they have the item in hand and do not and take your money that is bs. Im saying that alot of the vendors say that they have the item in stock but it comes from a warehouse and will take time. Now if you called and they said they have the item in hand but dont because it has to come from a warehouse yes thats crap because they should have said that it needed to come fro m warehouse.

**** it. Ordered some from all the people who have stock, most of whom people are complaining about slow ship times.
I have faith that no matter what happens from here, Benitez will keep the window open as long as possible.
Let us all pray the bugs are worked out, the trucks are rolling, and all orders hit the shipping counter 2 minutes before they shut this down.
Amen.A day may come when the will of man fails, but it is not this day.Comment

Got the emails from skid this morning but not clarification on what is or isn't going to ship. Re bought a few things from another retailer just in case but they were my main source for CZ mags as they were getting hard to come by even a few days ago. Hopefully those ones are fulfilled. If not from what I understand the mec gar 10s can be corrected to standard capacity now and I have a bunch of those.
The SGM Tactical® VEPR 12 Gauge 25-Round Clear Drum Magazine is the ultimate in civilian firepower. Featuring durable polymer
OOS now unfortunately, I might have grabbed one of the last ones.

Some of you youngsters! Geez!
It wasn't long ago that EVERY mail order took 6 to 8 weeks, and "rush" shipping was 1 to 2 weeks.
I suspect all those vendors that seem to be in limbo are simply just catching up assembling orders. I think the bigger mix you bought, the longer it's taking.
Such as, I've never known Grab-a-Gun to EVER ship faster than 4 to 5 days, whether under a blitz or not.

Does anyone know if river city gun exchange in Sac is selling them? Last time I was there we picked up a Kydex glock holster and 9mm ammo, time before that it was a gun cabinet, before that the CZ75B, before that a Ruger 10/22 manlicher...I need to stop those guys are enablers.
Might have to go see my boy Dean and the crew if they have standard capacity mags.
Gun range in north sac pissed me off not selling, I like them for powder and primers, I bought like 20 pounds of powder from them last year.Comment

I think this adds detail to the response from one of the retailers I received just now, who indicated an inventory issue with one of the items on my order. It was in stock when ordered - but now I can understand that it was not an issue caused by anything under their control. Thanks for providing this information.Note this on Skid Tactical's page now:
Alot of smaller shops use services like Gearfire, NFDN, AmmoReady, etc.. Those are eCommerce service providers that do batch inventory loads from X amount of distributors.
What is happening with a lot of these places is many of the spokes on the distributor hub were purchasing all at once and "live" stock wasn't syncing fast enough. This resulted in people later in line not being able to get those orders filled. These shops did NOT have the item in stock on their shelves, but "at the warehouse" as many vendors have eluded to in their email communications.
A consumer would now know this unless they knew specifically what to look for on the webstore OR if the vendor was upfront about how their inventory system worked. Larger vendors, such as PSA, Brownells, Midway USA, etc.. likely do actually stock lots of stuff and stuff is churning through their internal processes.
Anyway this is just my insight into what folks might be seeing. The statement from Skid Tactical leads me to believe they turned off that integration for now so only "real in house stock" is shown for the time being.
In short, I don't think any of these smaller providers were intentionally being dishonest as much as they didn't fully understand the ramifications / limitations of the platform they were using. Maybe they believed the sales pitch from whomever sold it to them on how "live" the live inventory was so thought it would be scaled to support something like this.
Hope this helps folks understand some of the situations although I know it doesn't make anyone happy to hear.
Good luck all!
EDIT The vendor was Charlie Coopers. They understood my concern about timing, and they indicated they'd take care of me if I stick with them, ie limit mags if the law changes before they can collect those few remaining mags that I ordered and get them out the door.Last edited by DesertDave100; 04-03-2019, 10:55 PM.NRA Life Member CRPA Life Member

Also known as the list of vendors for whom I will NEVER place an order for anything EVER in the future. I can excuse the CA vendors to a degree, but those out of state can eat crap.No e.g. 1. Literally cannot place an order (the system won't let you), 2. CalGunner called the store and the vendor said outright that they're not going to ship to California, 3. Vendor updated their website with some sort of notice/policy saying they wouldn't ship to California, etc
- CDNN (TX Abilene)
- Cheaper Than Dirt (TX Fort Worth)
- Clearview Investments (KY Versailles)
- Dawson Precision (TX Florence)
- Guns Midwest (KS Overland Park)
- Joe Bob Outfitters (KS Hays)
- Kriss USA (VA Chesapeake)
- Outdoor Limited (NC High Point)
- Sig Sauer (NH Exeter)
- Sportsman's Guide (MN South St Paul)
- Sportsman's Warehouse (UT Midvale)
Ironically, Sportsman's Guide, Cheaper Than Dirt, CDNN, and Clearview Investments were already on such a list all to their own, having nothing to do with this above.
Slating this for posterity and recall.
All of them can suck it.
