I really wanted ARC magazines but the manufacturer themselves and their main retailer (BCM) aren't selling to CA.

I bet you never had a thousand ebay orders hit in a day either. Do you think Calguns members are the only people ordering? The whole damn state is wiping out stores. Yes I get what your saying about saying you have stock when they dont because it is in another wareouse. Normally you would order from them they tell warehouse to ship. Now because we are in a time crunch dose not give us the right to cry about our orders getting messed up these vendors had no clue what was coming. I doubt the judge will grant a stay and we will have time but I could be wrong also. Just cut these guys sum slack they are doing there best to help us out they could have easily said they would not ship to us at all.

Before you say I'm "crying" you legit need to reread and comprehend what I actually wrote, bro. You completely missed the point. I'm stating that they lied and that's bullsh-t. I have 3 orders pending from other businesses that I have yet to comment about. Why is that? Maybe because they didn't straight lie to me when I asked them a questions. I would have canceled my Botach order and added it to one of the others I placed to a different address. Maybe you're one of those that accepts being lied to, but that's not me. So I'm putting it out there that what they say isn't what they do.

Places list stuff for sale they don't actually have in inventory. They say it's in stock, but it's not. I understand that you wouldn't do that, but it's apparent that a lot did. Skid Tactical being one example. Others are doing it too, they just haven't admitted to it yet (props to Skid for at least being honest)

Note this on Skid Tactical's page now:

California: We are working on getting magazine orders out to you. We've disabled all non-distributor products in the mean time. We WILL send your orders out this week.

Alot of smaller shops use services like Gearfire, NFDN, AmmoReady, etc.. Those are eCommerce service providers that do batch inventory loads from X amount of distributors.

What is happening with a lot of these places is many of the spokes on the distributor hub were purchasing all at once and "live" stock wasn't syncing fast enough. This resulted in people later in line not being able to get those orders filled. These shops did NOT have the item in stock on their shelves, but "at the warehouse" as many vendors have eluded to in their email communications.

A consumer would not know this unless they knew specifically what to look for on the webstore OR if the vendor was upfront about how their inventory system worked. Larger vendors, such as PSA, Brownells, Midway USA, etc.. likely do actually stock lots of stuff and stuff is churning through their internal processes.

Anyway this is just my insight into what folks might be seeing. The statement from Skid Tactical leads me to believe they turned off that integration for now so only "real in house stock" is shown for the time being.

In short, I don't think any of these smaller providers were intentionally being dishonest as much as they didn't fully understand the ramifications / limitations of the platform they were using. Maybe they believed the sales pitch from whomever sold it to them on how "live" the live inventory was so thought it would be scaled to support something like this.

Hope this helps folks understand some of the situations although I know it doesn't make anyone happy to hear.
