If something happens to the mags once they're shipped I'm ok with that loss. That was the risk I took, and it would be wrong (even if theoretically legal) for me to chargeback.

If they can't or won't ship however, I should get my money back, and the policy they posted gave me no reason to believe I wouldn't.

It is just an opinion and truthfully will probably not be seen by anyone other than the small handful of people that participated in that piece of the discussion and disagreed with me anyway.

Sounds like at least one of the vendors in question did clarify no-ship = refund as well since the off-topic discussion started.

Just got an email from Cope's saying they are shipping mags to CA: "We are Shipping to California."

Nothing on the web site confirms this, but I'm guessing they removed the "shipping to CA" restriction on mags.

All this $$$ spending just demonstrates hugh demand for standard capacity mags after years of "freedom starvation." If anything, more out of state business interests will now pour money into CA to permanently open up the marketplacd

Imagine the buying frenzy if handgun roster is struck down..

I know. I agree we shouldn't pay for anything we didn't receive, and I've edited my post to clarify that. My point was that we don't need to jump on the chargeback immediately; give the vendor some time to issue a credit. I don't think any of the vendors will try to rip us off, but they are likely overwhelmed with orders they won't be able to deliver. Give them some time to unwind the bookkeeping.
