Thank your neighbor and fellow gun owners for passing Prop 63. For that gun control is a winning legislative agenda.

I've always stayed away from any magnetic tool/device just because of the gray areas of the lock you can fall into. Even if you have the tool or device on the gun put aren't using it except for out of state purposes you are still falling into the gray area. I've heard many times that "there isn't a law explaining one way or another but do you want to be the first to try it out in a court of law"? So in that case I always error on the side of caution.

Im not too clear on what you meant. Are you saying its a gray area to possess a small round magnet? Id have to disagree. With that logic, its a gray area to possess the mag release button that comes in your lower parts kit because you might install it in state....

Can't you take this trolling to the OT?

I know enough about Bill to know that he wouldn't "turn someone in" for something that he fervently believed shouldn't even be illegal in the first place. Bill has taken a crystal clear position on SB23 since before a lot of you kids were even old enough to buy a gun.

He is also one of the core architects of the bullet button compliance feature. If you have a BBed AR or AK, thank Bill.

To posses one? No. To have one magnetically attached to the mag release? There is no gray area, flat out felony.

Thats clear and should be common sense to all folks. It just creates a regular mag release. Just curious as to why the fear and posts to steer clear from owning one as if it made you a felon for buying and possessing one.

Buying a magnetic BB tool is a lot like buying porn. You can deny it till the cows come home but we all know what you are going to do with it.

Thanks for taking such a clear position on the legality of the Felony-Magnets Bill, I have heard your many warnings about them and have let others know who are not members of this forum to stay away from them.

That is actually not true. It is still considered a gray area.
