    Quick process time.

Just to let you know, the sheriff processes quickly.
I got mine within 3 weeks after the gun show and I was one of the last ones.

Make things easy, make photo of you DL with you.

Gray, could you repost link for actual application so that way people can download the application and fill it out ahead of time.

Thank you, Sal. I can drive up to Sacramento if you will be making a stop there along the 5.

Okay Romanski, you're in. But I have to cut it off after you...at least on the way south. My first stop on day 1 will be the southern most part of Oregon. Then the day 2 drive is the gauntlet - about 11 - 12 hours.

I would prefer to stop either before or after Sacremento...on the outskirts. The only thing I like doing when traveling through the big cities is get outta there as soon as I can.

If I may make a suggestion for a location.

I would suggest on the North side of Sacramento, the rest stop just before you get to the Sacramento International Airport as you cross over the Sacramento River. This would serve Woodland/West Sacramento/Davis/Sacramento/Bay Area

On the South side of Sacramento I would suggest the HWY 12/I-5 truck stop in Lodi.

          This would serve Sacramento/ElkGrove/West Sacramento/Davis/Bay Area/Stockton/Galt/Lodi/Sonora etc.

Get your OR CHL so you can OC in Portland!
False is the idea of utility that sacrifices a thousand real advantages for one imaginary or trifling inconvenience; that would take fire from men because it burns, and water because one may drown in it; that has no remedy for evils except destruction. The laws that forbid the carrying of arms are laws of such a nature. They disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes.

Exactly. Open carriers should get this so they can carry.

Are you cutting off for all or just the Sac people?
I'd like to drive up from San Diego if you still have space!

In your case though, you can carry nationwide.

Super interested... especially if you come south farther than chico, sir.
(noticed the other posts regarding a sac'to or stockton meetup and either would be great for me)
                      I'll keep checking this thread.

Note: my bad; you're headed to Chino, CA (dunno why I thought Chico)

                        Chino, not Chico.

Maybe you should cough up the extra few miles and come down to SD!

                          I'll say it; I'm lazy!

Are people allowed to chip in money for gas, etc. or would that be against some rules/laws?

I was wondering the same. I am willing to pay for the service.

Sounds like a signature quote to me ...

BTW: we need a Sheriff Palmer smiley, maybe something like the Alan Gura smiley w/OR CHL in one hand a Constitution in other (and maybe another of Sal's head on top of a minature car driving down I5 w/an ink roller in his hand)
