    Yes.

Unfortunately, we had a chance yesterday and blew it

Seriously... any Senator or Congressman can introduce and sponsor anything they'd like.
Whether it will actually get out of committee to a vote on the floor is another matter.
Whether it will pass a vote on the floor is also another matter.

Then it goes to the other house for the same process. IF it passes out of committee in the other house, it will be amended.
Then the amended bill has to pass on the floor.

Then it goes BACK to the original house to be approved in it's amended form.

New gun control legislation on the Federal level isn't going anywhere for at least 4 years.
    California OTOH....

There has been talk (over the last 20 years) of banning any semi-automatic weapon.

At that point, when do we, the California law abiding gun owners say NO

Somewhere, sometime soon a line will have to be drawn in the sand.

If Boxer wants to ban "assault weapons" because they look scary, she should consider that she looks at least 20 times scarier than any gun with "evil" features, and she is probably infinitely more dangerous for the average American than said guns with "evil" features. Should we ban her, too?

I just ordered a Glock 17C yesterday, which I am sure she would call an Assault Weapon, since its specifically designed for rapid fire, so close enough?

And like others have said, there is zero chance with the new house in place for even the topic of AW nationally going anywhere.

I suspect that an AW bill in NV would be far less popular than that. Unfortunately for every "free" state there are states where the government has done its job of scaring the population about firearms.

Many places welcome gun control and banning of the ugly, evil black rifle.

You REALLY need to consider adding Pelosi to that list.

however...never, ever, UNDERESTIMATE the enemy (or should i say "opponent"?)...they normally, drop back, regroup and try again...

an old "rule of the thumb" applied to infantry tactics when attacking a static, 'dug-in' position is that it normally takes a five-to-one ratio for the attacker to overcome the dug-in adversary...boxer is a 'dug-in' adversary...she is vulnerable, as is any elected official, but it's gonna take time and effort to get rid of her...

we are told not to judge muslims by what a few do...yet, the NRA membership and firearms owners are ALL considered as radical...

She's STILL the most evil featured, ugly politician that I can think of. She HAS to make the list. I'd say that she qualifies as an "Assault Politician".

that would NEVER be permitted under current 2A jurisprudence. Even the CA legislature wouldn't bother with such a blatantly unconstitutional law. I don't even think that LCAV and Brady would push for such a law anymore.
