She would like to but the rest of the dems know that voting on such an issue would be political suicide. So, very, very unlikely.

The fate of the wounded rest in the hands of the ones who apply the first dressing.

The Republicans control the House, Barbara can generate a bill, try and get sponsors, get it introduced to committee, but its an uphill battle, many Democrats are still shell shocked from this years elections and most likely won't be interested in pushing gun control. If any bill does pass the Senate, it has to to to the House committee...good luck. Pro-gun forces will squash it in committee.
Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

So if Boxer does try to ban AWs is there any legal action that can be taken against her?

If you mean Federally, she can try but...

                    ^^ This

She's already been the incumbent and there has been nothing federally introduced.
But trying to introduce something now (FEDERALLY) after her reelection, she won't get very far.
It's not gonna happen now that the GOP has House majority. At least not by her or anyone soon. The most she can do is continue destroying CA.

I doubt the Dems want to pick a fight over a losing social issue after the whupping they got tonight.

The Dems have understood a long time ago this issue was neither winnable nor a priority for their electorate.

                              Nationally.

Locale-based politics still has its problems.

And we have Obama agency heads hanging up the Korean Garand issue. I hope the NRA begins its *****'slappin campaign soon.
