I really wonder of those who boast not to comply or that they won't register how many will convert to featureless and further boast non-compliance or just remove from the State?
In light of the new regulations, I just intend to shoot and enjoy the rifle featured with its dang BB and wait until October or so next year to make a decision to go featureless, or not.
Wait and see what the snarly legislature comes up with in the meantime.
Remember that if one converts to featureless after tomorrow, that going back to featured thereafter constitutes MANUFACTURING of an AW. State prison definite possibility if you are caught.Last edited by ifilef; 12-31-2016, 12:44 AM.Comment

Remember what constitutes the firearm on the AR platform? The upper matters not. You can swap and shoot the uppers you want.
===============

I told you all this was going to happen. That you would not be able to take the BB off.
You thought California was going to do ya'll a solid? "Oh ya'll the new generation of shooters, who like and enjoy these rifles, lets get rid of the BB, just register them as RAW's you can take them off."
Or this one
"There's only one type of RAW in CA. Once registered we can take the BB off legally. Law doesn't say verbatim that the BB has to stay on. Learn to read."
This is now a CAT IV Assault Weapon per CA DOJ.
BulletButtonBan.com - Update: NEW LAWSUIT FILED. We will continue to update THIS PAGE with new information about the ban on
They want pictures, receipts, documents, fees, etc Then now we need the state's permission to purchase ammo, they maintain databases of your property.
Then in 2019, one year later, they decide to just out right ban all RAW's. Just like they did with Standard cap mags. What's to stop them?
Just turn them in (we know you have them, you registered as RAW's, plus post 2014 purchase, we know), sell to a FFL, or Sell out of state with a de-registrationtaxfee (gotta make up for that $25,000,000 GF loan PER database)
History is repeating, red coats, tyranny.
Every year they create a bunch of anti-gun legislation. Since the Fed DOJ doesn't do their part of keeping the state in check, that places the burden upon us, upon our personal checking accounts. Can we afford to fight each piece of legislation off? Just next year they make more while last years legislation is still being litigated?
- Our representatives no longer working for the people.
- Our judicial system is no longer following the COTUS.
- The election/votes are rigged (Prop 63 @ 97% voter turnout vs other props that only had 2.5m v 2.4m (67-74%) votes/non democratic props).
When is it tyranny? When do WE THE PEOPLE take action as it prescribes.
Like I've been told here and in the FB group, "It's [2nd Amendment] not worth fighting for like our founders did, we got jobs, kids, family, don't want to become a felon, it's just a rifle, oh well".
"Liberty is not worth fighting for..."

Not that I have any particular like or dislike for DOJ, which is charged with implementing the laws from the legislature, but the above wasn't a very 'nice' thing to say. Oh well, venting is therapeutic, I guess.
