Would it be possible to attend in person?

I happen to be local and have the day off. Do I just need to head down to the court house and find the courtroom where they are hearing the case? Arrive early to grab a seat?
Will you be the hero we need?

      Forbidden without a camera permit.
Camera permits are available for the media per the guidelines above.

While any sort of photography or audio/video recording is prohibited during court sessions without this advance permission, it is permissible to use electronic devices to take notes, transmit and receive data communications, and access the Internet. Media members may transmit written accounts of the proceeding to a wider audience using various means. No one may use these devices for telephone calls. Telephone ring tones and other sounds produced by devices must be disabled while in the courtroom. Only quiet keyboards may be used in the courtroom.

They won't even let you through the doors into the courtroom with any electronics. You have to leave them in your car or surrender them to the bailiff's outside the courtroom.

Based on an order that has issued for Northern District of CA (Oakland), hearings are cancelled with decisions being made based on filings by the parties. Court trials are continued indefinitely. The order only applies to Northern District of CA, but don't be surprised if similar orders occur elsewhere.

I'm not so sure this is bad for us, might mean freedom week 2.0 would be longer as doing everything by paper slows the entire process.

At this time, there are no uniform, district-wide changes to court operations within the Northern District of California. However, individual judges, at their own discretion, may implement accommodations or changes in their own courtroom procedures as appropriate.

On a positive note...the case is being heard in San Diego...not Los Angeles or San Francisco...for what its worth, it does help...hopefully the courts will stay open next week..or do telephone/video conference..if necessary...

As of yesterday, there were 11 cases of CV in San Diego county. It is a fluid situation. What applied yesterday isn't necessarily what will apply tomorrow.

                      It is a day-by-day process.

Edit: I doubt there will be a hearing. Most likely, there will be a ruling that is based on briefs that have already been submitted.

SCOTUS just delayed all oral arguments, not having high hopes for a Friday hearing right now.
