FYI the whole story on courtlistener.com here:
Some free downloads, some you have to pay for."Bruen, the Bruen opinion, I believe, discarded the intermediate scrutiny test that I also thought was not very useful; and has, instead, replaced it with a text history and tradition test." Judge Benitez 12-12-2022

Am I wrong or does it look like Bonta is trying to bury everyone in paperwork?Comment

He and the 9th are basically using paperwork and the judicial process to delay as much as they can because they know what they'd have to say when it comes time to answer the question. If they still choose to be obstinate, the SC may choose to reverse them all together. The lower courts have been given an opportunity to do it right, but some of the more anti-gun ones are choosing to play their BS games.NRA Benefactor Life Member

I think the court requested the paperwork. There was an entry where the court asked for it because of the briefs being "oversized" here's the docket entry,
This was Oct. 14.MINUTE ORDER issued by the Honorable Roger T. Benitez: The parties have filed oversized briefs. Each party is directed to provide a printed courtesy copy to chambers, as indicated in the Local Rules of Court. Further, each party is to file on the docket a compendium of works, articles, studies, internet articles, etc., cited or referred to in the briefs and attached declarations and provide a printed courtesy copy of the compendium to chambers within one week. Making them show their sources. This is a good thing. Half the time Bonta is just pulling rabbits out of his hat.Comment

I am unsure of what you are referring to. There is no time limit for the issuance of a decision from a federal court. (I have had trial court issue decisions on motions more than a year after the submittal date.) In any event, there is no way that the Court will have read everything AND written his opinion on the 28th of October. Assuming that it will be a lengthy decision, as his decisions past, I think you are looking more realistically at 30-60 days minimum if he hurries. AS others have noted, the AG has submitted a blizzard of paper.Comment
