Whats your latest knife purchase?

I just ordered a Survive! GSO 4.7 in 20cv and GSO 4.1 in 3v from their site. Might take a few months before I get them, but I have 9 of their knives so far and they're awesome.

Thanks I have seen that 1993 Marbles Collectors Edition sale for $250 before. I got it at auction for $70. Very happy!

Anybody know how to tell if it is ball bearing steel or just chrome steel?

I saw a few references to it being 52100 for that time period (90's to early 2K's). 52100 is ball bearing steel and similar if not the same as Busse's SR-101 IIRC... Busse does have legendary rep for proprietary heat treats. The SR-101 blades I have are really tough but they do corrode and patina. They do hold a decent edge. My Chophouse got pretty dull in petrified oak after a few hours.

Tantos have never been my thing but that blade is very nice. Beautiful actually. I like Black Roc knives as well and I've been waiting for him to make another Gator with OD green & black scales. I really don't need another custom knife at the moment but I may have to jump on one if I see it. He's got a short video on the Gator on his facebook page posted on Sept. 22nd.
