Never been a Cold Steel fan. Not sure why but most of their designs just haven't appealed to me much.

I've kinda been looking for a bigger folder along those lines as well lately and so I've had my eye on the Spyderco Amalgam. Pretty good reviews, ball-bearing washers making very smooth operation. For the price it would be nice to see M390 steel or something similar, however, I'd still be happy with the S30V it comes with. Nice materials all around, compression lock, and sexy lines in my opinion.

That is a nice looking Spyderco. I still would not mind owning a Native.

Cold Steel folders don't appeal to me that much, I have had a few before. Some are decent, some are kind of novelties. The huge 5.5" folders that have their version of the Emerson Wave are interesting. I liked both sizes of Talwar. The TRI-AD is supposed to be insanely strong, but something more delicate like a Spyderco Centofante is what I'd prefer. Still a lockback, but you can use it one-handed and it is strong enough. I don't plan on hanging four 45 pound plates off it while it is in a vise, hahah.

Honestly i was just looking for a beater knife in s35vn or higher. My zt350 is s30v and not holding an edge as well as i would like plus it's more expensive to replace. Plus I've always been a fan of the tanto.

Kershaw Launch 4. Anyone have any good recommendations for a deep carry clip? Found a guy who makes them on Amazon, but some units looked bulkier than others.

            CRKT Otanoshi Noh Ken.

Really handy for vegetables, trimming fat on steaks, rope, twine, basically anything I need. And pretty cheap used on ebay.

You've definitely got the disease! Never heard of that first one. It reminds me a bit of some Dervish Knife designs. Looks like a ton of blade in a minimalist frame lock handle. I like it! Can you note dimensions or post a pic with something to show size & scale?
