Figured I'd check in on this thread since its been a while. Winklers, Hinderers, Busses, Swamp Rats....sheesh. Good stuff. The usual suspects still here too I see.

Now, what the hell did they do to the Swamp Warden?? My goodness, not sure how practical something that small and thick would be. Interesting nonetheless.

I've always loved the Swamp Warden and have considered it one of the best neck knives ever. With a good Strider wrap its hard to beat. Used to carry mine daily like that for a while and sometimes pocket carry too. Can't remember who made my sheath (AZWelke perhaps?) but I love this knife and will never get rid of it.

I see it as I"ve saved a ton of money vs guns, and because of the much lower prices, wifey gets off my back re purchases too.

I have some knives that I paid $125 for in the late 1980s. Now I look on some of the knife sites and they're worth over four to five hundred dollars. The feel of them in my hand and the mechanical perfection opening and closing them is amazing. I must say though for a cheap knife, the Kershaw Leek And the Ontario Rat are pretty impressive.

Was thinking similar as far as the longer blades, but tried it a couple days and the Police carries really nice, I love them all LOL. As far as sizing, surprised at how much I like the little Dragonfly, really neat knife.
Oh man don’ t get me started on the dragonfly. I just got a few delica’s and now am eyeing a dragonfly. I never thought I would like a delica or a dragonfly.

I need to stop looking at knives lol it’s becoming worse than guns.

picked up another Blackjack model 3 a few weeks ago. These knives are very impressive for the price.

I might have to fire up the PC to post a pic. I'm not having any luck with my tablet

Tempted to try out a police 4. But from what I can read up on it. It is longer than a pm2?

A PM2 is the upper limit in regards to length I would want to pocket carry. Unless I’m working in the yard I just use my Manix 2

Mine is carbon steel and, like yours, is just under six inches. I do like the stainless though. I chose to go cheap, which is fine for my purpose. It has a decent edge. I want to square off the spine.

You only live once. Use your expensive knives they are so much nicer to use. They sharpen too if youre worried about ruining them.

Sounds like a nice collection. Yep, I bet they all cut... definitely a difference between cheap and quality, but you can get inexpensive knives that are decent.

I've been a Kabar fan for quite a while, but not really owned any except Becker's till recently. I used them (Kabar) when I was a kid. The bowie I bought recently went right back after I handled it... cheapo fit and finish that felt fragile. Good stuff will spoil you, but it doesn't have to be expensive good stuff. Those SYKCO's are bomb proof.
