Whats your latest knife purchase?
I have always wanted a Benchmade Crooked River but I do not want to support Benchmade after the stunt they pulled last year.
Fortunately, I was able to acquire a pre-owned Crooked River from Calguns Marketplace. Man, I love this knife. Been carry it for a week now.

I have a special UTX-70 and a cool limited edition Ultratech that I love, even if I can't carry em in Cali. Outside of those two special editions, I've jettisoned all Microtech products as their customer service sucks in my experience. I've loved the Socom Elite in the past, but don't want to bet the farm on Microtech when the chips are down.
My latest purchase is a Boker Plus John W. Smith (JWS) collaboration:

It's got dove tailed Ti bolsters with black G10 scales and Ti liner lock parts. The blade is 154CM and it's made in Germany. It's compact, light, made of quality materials and extremely well finished. I have a couple of JWS custom knives and the level of fit and finish on this production knife when comparing is amazing, but the real custom Marlowes are at another level!
Here's a shot of a Boker Plus Marlowe KMP-22 along side the JWS knife for comparison. I have custom hand made versions of both knives and the Boker collab versions are good, but not at the same level as a real JWS or Marlowe custom.

That's a pretty impressive Boker sir, I can't say that i've ever said that before.Leave a comment:

Nice, I love the ultratech. The Utx85 fits my hand perfectly too. I have a UTX70ca that I wear with gym shorts and stuff. I almost got a bounty hunter in a trade but it fell through, congrats.Leave a comment:

If you love an SRK and want a better steel, I'd get a 3V version:I bought a SRK San Mai knockoff from DHgate awhile back for $15 or $20.
You can get the real thing for MSRP $180; $105 on AMZN. See: Cold Steel SRK San Mai.
For a beater though... if you can get SK-5 for $26 that's a winner IMHO.Leave a comment:

That looks pretty bad ars, I have the Native 5 FRN all black and really like the looks. Let us know how you like the Yo!Leave a comment:

I like the Recon Tanto better than the SRK... same nice handle. I'd get one but I have a 3V Master Tanto. I need to compare the SRK handle to the Master Tanto side by side, but I think I like the Master Tanto handle more. The 52100 steel in the Drop Forged line is the same as SR-101 and a lot better than SK-5 IMHO. A lot heavier larger knife though.SRK for $35 is out of stock at Botach, but looking at the Recon Tanto for $40 at Botach

Yeah, I actually had both of those knives sitting in my Amazon cart, but the best amazon price for the survivalist was $78 w/free ship. Think I got some stuff from Botach during freedom week, I'll check them out.I got one when it hit $26.11 so it has gone lower... I stripped mine, and it is a decent little knife and sheath.

If you were spending $40... and would be ok with a larger blade, the Drop Forged Survivalist is a lot more blade for the money ($60):
