I have way too many knives. I purchased them and then leave them in their original boxes and never use them. Then I buy more.

Nice one. Carbon or stainless? I have the 15 cm / 5.9" in carbon and the 20.5 cm / 8" in stainless... the carbon started to patina immediately.

But do you take them out once in a while and admire?

A few minutes ago I ordered another Benchmade 495 Vector. I've owned one for a few months and the three I've recently purchased are going to my two sons and my daughter.

Sometimes I take them out and look at them. Sometimes I want to use them. Then I always wind up using the cheap Kershaws I get a big five because I'm afraid to damaging the good ones. Some of which I've had for 30 years

Sounds like a nice collection. Yep, I bet they all cut... definitely a difference between cheap and quality, but you can get inexpensive knives that are decent.

I've been a Kabar fan for quite a while, but not really owned any except Becker's till recently. I used them (Kabar) when I was a kid. The bowie I bought recently went right back after I handled it... cheapo fit and finish that felt fragile. Good stuff will spoil you, but it doesn't have to be expensive good stuff. Those SYKCO's are bomb proof.

You only live once. Use your expensive knives they are so much nicer to use. They sharpen too if youre worried about ruining them.

Mine is carbon steel and, like yours, is just under six inches. I do like the stainless though. I chose to go cheap, which is fine for my purpose. It has a decent edge. I want to square off the spine.

Tempted to try out a police 4. But from what I can read up on it. It is longer than a pm2?

A PM2 is the upper limit in regards to length I would want to pocket carry. Unless I’m working in the yard I just use my Manix 2

Yeah, both blade and handle on Police 2 are significantly longer than PM2.
Was thinking similar as far as the longer blades, but tried it a couple days and the Police carries really nice, I love them all LOL. As far as sizing, surprised at how much I like the little Dragonfly, really neat knife.
